Vex 10

Vex 10 puts a stick figure in a world of hard-edged black and white blocks, set against a white backdrop patterned with pale blue diamonds. The menu around it is loud purple and magenta, which makes the level itself look even starker.

There is no tutorial card. The instructions are painted inside the level: welcome back to Vex on one wall, move with the arrow keys or WASD on another, and a hand-drawn blue arrow pointing the way you should be heading.

Gold coins are strung along the route, and their counter sits in the top corner. Walls and black pits make up the obstacles, and the camera scrolls along with you as the course opens up ahead.

Five cards line the top of the menu: a level grid, a shirt for character skins, a stopwatch with a star, a calendar and a running figure. A community banner sits beside them in the corner.
