Chicken Wars Merge Guns
Description
Chicken Wars is a tower defense where the towers are chickens with guns, and where the way to get a stronger tower is to put two weaker ones together. It is a silly premise played entirely straight.
The merging turns the usual defence decision on its head. Instead of choosing between a cheap tower and an expensive one, you are choosing whether to spend a slot now or keep it free so the next pair can combine. A line of level-one chickens covers more ground; a short line of level-three chickens actually stops something.
Waves arrive on a rhythm you can feel, and the game expects you to keep upgrading during a fight rather than only between them. Standing still while a wave passes is how a defence that looked fine at the start becomes thin by the middle.
Power-ups are there for the moment the line is about to break, and the balance is generous rather than punishing. It is a light, quick take on the genre, and the chickens carry it further than they have any right to.
