Description

Jungle Fury is a side-scrolling action game with a straightforward job: the rhino warriors took the villagers, and you are going to walk into the jungle and take them back. Each level is a stretch of hostile ground with people to free at the end of it.

Weapons decide how a level plays rather than how fast it ends. A bow keeps distance and struggles in close quarters; an axe does the opposite. The blacksmith between levels is where most of the real decisions get made, because upgrading the wrong weapon for the terrain ahead costs more than it gives.

The environments change enough to matter. Swamps slow you down and hide what is in them, caverns funnel enemies into single file, and the rampart levels give the rhinos the high ground. The same weapon is a different weapon in each.

Bosses close each stretch, ending with the Apex Rhino Warlord, and they are built around a pattern rather than a health bar. Learning the pattern is quicker than out-damaging it, which is the correct way round for a game like this.
