Description

The Pirate Adventures is a coin-collecting platformer. Each level scatters gold across the map, guards patrol between you and it, and the level ends when you have taken every coin.

Guards can be handled two ways. The sword works up close and puts you inside their reach to use it; TNT works from a distance but has to be placed where they will be rather than where they are, which makes it the more satisfying option and the easier one to waste.

Coin placement is what shapes a route. The last few are almost always somewhere awkward — behind a patrol, or on a ledge that requires crossing open ground — so the order you collect in decides how difficult the end of a level is.

Levels stay short and add guards rather than complexity, which keeps the focus on timing your approach.
