99 Nights In The Forest
Description
99 Nights In The Forest runs on a strict cycle. During the day the forest is calm and you gather — wood, stone, food — and use it to build. At night whatever lives in the trees comes out, and the camp you built is what stands between you and morning.
Daylight is short, which is the real pressure. Every minute spent exploring further out is a minute not spent fortifying, and the balance between the two decides how the night goes far more than how well you fight does.
The night phase plays like a defense round. Walls, traps and weapons made during the day do most of the work, and waves get stronger as the count climbs — a camp that comfortably held night ten is not the camp that survives night thirty.
Ninety-nine nights is a long commitment, and the game is built so that each one you survive makes the next slightly more possible. Runs are lost to a lazy afternoon rather than a bad fight.
