Description

Atomic Merge 2048 drops numbered blocks towards a centre rather than into a flat stack. Everything gathers around that middle point, identical numbers combine into the next value, and the pile grows outward in every direction as you play.

The red orbit around the outside is the timer this game does not otherwise have. Touch it and the run is over, so the space between your pile and that line is the resource you are really managing. Every block you drop without merging spends a little of it.

Because the shape grows radially, position matters more than in a grid version. A block dropped on the wrong side pushes the pile outward exactly where you had the least room, and a merge on the crowded side buys back more space than the same merge anywhere else.

Reaching 2048 is the stated goal, and getting there means a stretch in the middle where the board is full enough to be dangerous and not yet productive enough to clear itself. Surviving that stretch is the game.
