Description

Cat Pancake Diner starts you with a small breakfast place and a staff of cats. Customers arrive hungry, pancakes have to be cooked and served, and you are the one deciding how the whole thing is organised rather than doing every step by hand.

Managing the staff is where the game actually lives. A cat put on the grill is not available at the counter, and a queue building at one station is a signal that your assignment was wrong two minutes ago rather than a problem that just appeared.

Expansion opens new locations, and each one is a bigger version of the same puzzle rather than a fresh mechanic. That sounds repetitive and is not, because the layouts differ enough that the arrangement which worked in the first diner has to be rebuilt in the second.

The 3D presentation is warm and unhurried, and nothing in the game shouts at you. It is built for short sessions and for the small satisfaction of watching a diner you organised properly run smoothly without your input.
