Description

Dice Merge drops dice into a board and combines the ones that match, which is familiar. What is not familiar is that the merge is destructive: two matching dice explode, and the explosion is how you clear the obstacles in the way.

That turns a tidy merging game into a demolition one. A merge in the wrong place is wasted even if it produces a higher number, because the number is only useful where there is something to break. Aiming the drop matters more than the value you are holding.

Boxes and obstacles fill the board and get tougher as the levels go on, so a chain that cleared everything early is a chain that barely dents things later. The game keeps pushing you towards bigger merges rather than more of them.

The controls are one button, which keeps the pace fast and the failures quick. It is easy to pick up, and the difficulty comes entirely from reading the board rather than from anything mechanical.
