Description

Escape the Alien Prison starts the way these stories do — you are awake, you are locked in, and nobody explains anything. What follows is a single objective stretched across a very large ship: get out.

The moving is parkour rather than walking. A double jump and a sprint are the tools, and long stretches of the ship are laid out as obstacle courses that have to be read at speed. Falling costs progress rather than the run, so the ship teaches you its shapes by making you repeat them.

Between the courses are locked doors, and those want panels hacked rather than shot. That changes the pace deliberately: a corridor is fast, a security room is a pause, and the game alternates the two so neither becomes the whole experience.

There are weapons, and there are things worth using them on, with a full story campaign of puzzles and collectibles behind it. It runs on WASD with the usual shooter keys, so nothing needs learning before you start.
