Description

Sudoblock Daily takes the empty 9x9 grid from sudoku and hands it to block puzzle rules. Instead of writing numbers, you take small pieces from a tray at the bottom and drop them onto the board.

Three things clear squares: a full row, a full column, or one of the nine 3x3 boxes. Juggling all three is what makes it more than a line game — a row clear is obvious, a column comes from playing tall, and a box forces you to think locally and globally at once. Setting up a placement that pops two at a time is where the scoring is.

The pieces are irregular shapes that almost fit, so every drop is a commitment. They cannot be rotated, which means the board fills with the gaps your earlier placements left rather than with pieces you were unlucky to draw.

The daily part is the hook. Each day brings one fixed set of pieces and one board layout, so everybody playing that day is solving the same puzzle, and the run ends when nothing left fits anywhere.
