Description

Panda Dash sends a panda warrior into arenas full of zombies and takes the aiming out of your hands. The shooting happens on its own; what you control is movement, jumping and when to spend a skill.

That makes it a positioning game wearing a shooter’s clothes. Standing in the middle of an arena means being surrounded from both sides, and standing in a corner means being cornered. The good position is usually one step behind where the horde expects you, and it moves constantly.

Three skills sit on the number keys and they are the only thing that answers a wave you have misjudged. Using them the moment they are ready is the beginner’s habit; holding one for the second a group closes from both directions is what keeps a run going.

Each round is faster and denser than the last rather than simply longer, so the pressure builds within a session rather than across one. It is a short, loud game that suits a few minutes at a time.
