Description

Words with Owl shows you a word with letters missing and asks you to supply them. Because the letters have to be clicked in the right order, you cannot drop them in roughly and hope the rest follows.

Difficulty rises by removing more letters rather than by lengthening the word. A word left with a single letter forces you to recognise its whole shape instead of reconstructing it from what remains.

The score gives you a reason to come back, while the stages that unlock give a run its direction. Both move slowly, so this reads more like enjoyable practice than a race.

Since a round takes only a few minutes, the game slots easily into a break from studying. The vocabulary sticks less because it was memorised and more because you struggled with it for a moment.
