This is built for children who are meeting numbers for the first time, and it splits that into three exercises rather than one. Each is short, each has a clear right answer, and none of them punishes a wrong try.

The sequence exercise asks the child to drag a missing number into a row. Seeing which number is absent is a different task from counting up to it, and the row makes the gap visible rather than abstract.

The quantity exercise shows a group of apples and asks how many there are. Because the objects are real things rather than symbols, a child who cannot yet read the digit can still get the answer right by counting, which is the point of doing it in this order.

The last exercise is tracing. Dots mark the path of each digit and the child follows them, so writing the number becomes a physical action instead of something copied by eye. A tablet or a phone suits this better than a mouse, though both work.
