Go To Zero
Description
Numbers drop into the board along with the symbols that operate on them, and the goal runs the opposite way to most number games: instead of building a total up, you have to bring everything down to nothing. A level is finished when the screen is empty.
Because the symbols fall too, the operation available to you is not always the one you want. A subtraction sign arriving when you needed to add changes what the pieces on the board are worth, and part of playing well is arranging numbers so that whatever falls next is still useful.
That makes it a planning game with arithmetic underneath rather than a drill. The maths itself stays simple; what gets harder is the order, since a number reduced too early leaves you holding pieces that no longer cancel anything.
Levels build in difficulty steadily, and each one is short enough to retry without much cost. The controls are a click or a tap and nothing else, so a child can play it and the difficulty comes from the puzzle rather than from operating it.
