Description

Each level hides six words in a grid of letters and you drag across them to mark them. The words run in every direction the format allows, so a grid that looks sparse on a first pass usually is not.

Twenty chapters each carry easy, medium and hard versions, and the difficulty is not simply a larger grid. Harder levels hide words that overlap each other and share letters, which means a letter you have already used in one word is often part of another you have not found yet.

The reliable method is to scan for uncommon letters rather than reading the grid line by line. A Q, an X or a Z appears rarely enough that finding one usually locates a whole word, and working outward from there is faster than a systematic sweep.

A hint is available whenever you are stuck, which keeps the game from becoming a staring contest. Nothing is timed, so the pace is yours, and the vocabulary is broad enough that it works as practice as much as a pastime.
